Each soap is different and I make small 4 lbs batches.
I don't go to great lengths to make the bars identical. When I cut a block of soap, I cut it so each bar looks nice and weighs in at or above 4oz.
I don't mind the bubbles, scratches or wrinkles and I don't shave off and waste the misshapen parts.
This is real soap! You need an acid and a base to saponify the ingredients. Back in the old days, soapmakers used potash as the base, and fats saved from cooking as the acid . Nowadays we use luxurious veggie based oils or tallow and sodium hydroxide and of course fragrance oils and/or essential oils. My soaps are not glycerin or melt and pour soaps. You can buy my soaps with confidence knowing that each of them is made from scratch by my own two hands.
